ABOUT THE TOUR IN BRIEF
The tour takes approximately four and a half hours. We paddle along or just stream down the most beautiful part of the River Danube that makes nice bends cutting through the mountains of a national park. The departure place is in the mountainous town of Zebegény and the arrival point is in Verőce at an open beach with a mediterranean atmosphere.
FULL DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR
It’s a very comfortable and relaxing way of water excursions. Before we set sail we teach you the basics of paddling on SUPs and in kayaks.
Although we provide life jackets that you must wear all along the way, swimming skills are compulsory.
Then we softly drift down with the current of the River Danube, so this tour is pretty easy and is recommended for everyone. The landscape is rich in beauties of Nature but you don’t need to risk falling your cameras into the water because we take a lot of pictures and videos all along the trip.
For those who are not so used to Standing Up Paddle mode can use the kayak seats and paddles. Later where the water surface is calmer they can easily change for SUP mode.
We may stop for a swim at many places (at nice islands and reefs in the river). The average water temperature is between 20-25 Celsius degrees (68-77 Fahrenheit).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
What to bring:

a bottle of water (min. 1,5 litres)

a swimwear and a set of dry clothes

a couple of sandwiches

and maybe a pair of slippers or water shoes

Tours will be cancelled in case of heavy rain or thunderstorm and your money will be returned.
MEETING POINT
Our meeting point is the West Railway Station (Nyugati) pályaudvar. We meet in the Main Hall under the big departure-arrival timetable board. A guide will wait for you there under the board from 10:40 a.m. He will be wearing a recognisable yellow dry bag on his side. The departure of our train is at 11:08. You and the guide together will travel to Zebegény.
ON THE TRAIN
We travel by comfortable air-conditioned double decker trains. The journey only takes 45 minutes from the Capital. In that direction almost no people use the train before noon so we can find plenty of free seats. We get off the train at Zebegény.
ZEBEGÉNY CITY: THE STARTING POINT OF OUR WATER ADVENTURE
Walking down about 200 metres from the station on the riverside we will find our SUPs inflated and equipped ready for a start. Nearby we can find restrooms and dressing rooms to change clothes. After putting our belongings in the dry bags we fasten them on SUPs then we set sail.
